I began my journey on becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist when struggles in my own life brought me to seek therapy. Through the therapeutic process I worked through emotional pain and strained relationships and experienced personal growth and a renewed sense of joy and wonder of life.
In addition, I gained a passion for wanting to give back and help others the way I had been helped through therapy. Soon after, I enrolled in Hope International University and my studies to become a Marriage and Family Therapist began.
I have been working with Children, teens and their parents as a Marriage and Family Therapist since I began my graduate studies. In addition, I have extensive experience working with children as I have raised three children, provided Day Care in my home for over 10 years and worked in Special Education in schools for over three years. I have a special connection with children, the parents of my Day Care Children even dubbed me the “Child Whisperer”.
Working with Children and teens as a Marriage and Family Therapist was natural outflow of my connectedness with children and love for working with them. It is my passion to come along side of children, teens, parents and families to help them find answers, find hope, to increase connected relationships and begin to Thrive and not merely survive life’s journey.
